BILL NO. ~.~& <br /> <br />o <br /> ORDNANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING AND CONVEYING TO THE <br />METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT FOUR PERMANENT <br />EASEMENTS ON STRIPS OF GROUND LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST <br />AND SOUTHWEST CORNERS OF VERNON AND PENNSYLVANIA <br />AVENUES; IN HEMAN PARK ALONG VERNON AVENUE, BETWEEN <br />PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE AND MIDLAND BOULEVARD; AND AT THE <br />NORTHEAST CORNER OF VERNON AVENUE AND MIDLAND <br />BOULEVARD. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District desires to extend the Skinker~ <br />McCausland Tunnel, a sanitary sewer line, within property owned by the City of University City, <br />Missouri; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District desires easements for the construction <br />and maintenance work relating to said extension; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said property is located at the southeast and southwest comers of Vernon and <br />Pennsylvania Avenues; in Heman Park along Vernon Avenue, between Pennsylvania Avenue and <br />Midland Boulevard; and at the northeast comer of Vernon Avenue and Midland Boulevard; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the easements will further the preservation of the health, safety, morals, and <br />general welfare of the people of the City of University City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of University City is willing to grant, sell and convey to the <br />Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District the requested easements. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City of University City, Missouri, is the owner of certain land located at <br />the southeast and southwest comers of Vernon and Pennsylvania Avenues; in Heman Park along <br />Vernon Avenue, between Pennsylvania Avenue and Midland Boulevard; and at the northeast comer <br />of Vernon Avenue and Midland Boulevard; described as shown hachured on the attached four <br />"Easement Plats" marked Exhibits "A-8035E03B," "A-8035E01," "A-8035-E02," and <br />"A-8035EO3A." <br /> <br /> Section 2. In consideration for the sum of one dollar ($1.00) and other valuable <br />consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the City of University <br />City hereby grants, sells and conveys easements in said property to the Metropolitan St. Louis <br />Sewer District, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the "Easements" marked Exhibits <br />"B-8035E03B," "B-8035E01," "B-8035-E02," and "B-8035EO3A," and each made a part hereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
