benefits as of January 1, 1995. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Effective July 1, 1998, all retirees who retired prior to December 31, 1996, and <br />whose employment terminated after they became eligible for retirement pursuant to <br />this article, and their beneficiaries other than children, shall receive a monthly <br />benefits increase of twenty dollars ($20), provided such retirees and beneficiaries <br />were receiving benefits as of July 1, 1998. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
