BILL NO. ¢~)~ ~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PORTION OF THE <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY OF BENLOU AVENUE, FROM STANFORD AVENUE TO A <br />POINT APPROXIMATELY 133 FEET NORTHWARD, BUT RESERVING ANY <br />PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE <br />BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. <br />LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Benlou Avenue is a public street in the West University No. 3 and Central <br />Suburbs Subdivisions in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was held at the City Hall of University City, Missouri at 7:30 <br />p.m. on May 18, 1998, to hear any comments concerning the proposed vacation of a portion of the <br />fight-of-way of Benlou Avenue, from Stanford Avenue to a point approximately 133 feet northward; <br />and <br /> WHEREAS, all comments concerning the proposed vacation of said right-of-way were heard. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. A portion of the right-of-way of Benlou Avenue in University City, in St. <br />Louis County, Missouri, and all of University City's right, title and interest therein is hereby vacated, <br />surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving, however, all public utility easements, if any; said property <br />is more specifically described as follows: <br /> <br />This parcel of land is the northernmost 132.8 feet, more or less, of the Benlou Avenue (50 <br />feet wide) right-of-way, and is located partly in West University No. 3 Subdivision and <br />partly in Lot 39 of Central Suburbs Subdivision; both subdivisions are located in University <br />City, Missouri, in St. Louis County, Missouri. This parcel of land is more particularly <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the southwest comer of Lot No. 15 of Block No. 4 of West University No. 3, <br />a subdivision located in the City of University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri; then <br />proceed 132.90 feet northwardly along the west boundary line of Lot No. 15 to a point, being <br />the northwest comer of Lot No. 15; then proceed 50 feet westwardly along a line which is <br />the north boundary of West University No. 3 Subdivision, and the prolongation of that line, <br />to a point; then proceed southwardly along a line located 25 feet west of and parallel to the <br />west boundary of West University No. 3 Subdivision for a distance of 132.7 feet to a point, <br />which is located on the north right-of-way line of Stanford Avenue ( 50 feet wide). Then <br />proceed eastwardly 50 feet to the southwest comer of Lot No. 15 of block No. 4 of the West <br />University No. 3 Subdivision, which is the point of beginning.
