ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVDING FOR TI-[E REIMBURSEMENT <br />OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS FOR EXPENSES INCURRED <br />BY THEM IN OPERATING THEIR OWN AUTOMOBILES IN <br />TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS FOR THE CITY, REPEALING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6060 <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDA1NED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. From and after June 24, 1998, the officials in the position hereinafter set forth <br />may be required to operate their own automobiles and if so required receive, upon prior <br />authorization of the City Manager, the following amounts monthly for expenses paid by them in <br />operating their automobiles in business for the City: <br /> <br />Assistant Fire Chief <br />Chief Prevention and Safety Officer <br />Director of Public Works <br />Deputy Director of Public Works Operations <br />Director of Planning <br />Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br />Forester <br />Project Manager <br />Deputy Director of Engineering <br />Inspector I <br />Inspector II <br />Construction Inspector (may be classified as building/ <br /> plumbing/electric inspector) <br />Deputy Building Commissioner <br />Zoning Administrator <br />Director of Finance and Community Development <br />Mayor <br /> <br />140 <br />140 <br />160 <br /> 50 <br />75 <br />100 <br />100 <br />100 <br />9O <br />140 <br />140 <br /> <br />160 <br />100 <br />75 <br />75 <br />25 <br /> <br /> Section 2. From and after June 24, 1998, all City employees other than those enumerated <br />in Section 1 above, not receiving a regular automobile allowance but operating their own <br />automobiles on City business, upon prior authorization by their department head, shall be <br />compensated at the rate of thirty two and one-half cents (32.5 ¢) per mile. <br /> <br /> Section 3. In the event the City furnishes any of the officials enumerated above <br />automotive equipment to be used in their work, the amounts specified for operating their own <br />private vehicles shall be terminated. <br /> <br /> Section 4. The officials set forth in Section 1, who are required to operate their own <br />automobiles may, after prior authorization of the City Manager, receive compensation as provided <br /> <br /> <br />
