AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PORTION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT IN ONE MCKNIGHT PLACE AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. WHEREAS, there is a portion of a utility easement dedicated to the City of University City in McKnight Place, in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission, in a meeting held at City Hall on October 1, 1998, at 7:30 p.m., approved the vacation of said utility easement and recommended to the City Council that it be done; and WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing to be held by the City Council in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on October 12, 1998, at 7:30 p.m., was duly published in the St. Louis Countian, a newspaper of general circulation within said City, on September 25, 1998; and WHEREAS, said public heating was held at the time and place specified in said notice, and all suggestions or objections concerning said vacation were duly heard and considered by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. A portion of the utility easement dedicated to the City of University City in McKnight Place, in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri, and all of University City's right, title and interest therein is hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed; said property is more specifically described as follows: A portion of a utility easement of varying width, dedicated to the City of University City, Missouri in Lot 1 and Lot 2 of One McKnight Place as recorded in Plat Book 261, Page 32, in Section 8, Township 45 North, Range 6 East, in St. Louis County, Missouri and being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a point on the Southern right of way line of Barby (50' Wide) Lane, said point being the common Northwest comer of Lot 2 of"One McKnight Place" as recorded in Plat Book 261 Page 32 and the Northeast comer of Lot 22 of"Barby Lane" as recorded in Plat Book 61, Page 30; thence Easterly along the said Southern right of way line of Barby Lane South 89 °37'42" East 27.50 feet; thence departing the Southern right of way line of said Barby Lane South 00059'23" West 10.00 feet to a point on the Southern line of a 10 foot wide utility easement (to remain) as shown on a plat recorded in Plat Book 261 Page 32 and said point being the actual point of beginning; thence South 00o59'23" West 175.00 feet; thence South 89 °37'42" East 65.77 feet; thence South 00 °59'23" West 225.00 feet; thence South 89 °37'42" East 20.00 feet; thence South 00059'23"
