ORDINANCE NO. '~ ]¢':~ I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION OF A PROPOSITION, AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI ["CITY") TO LEVY AND IMPOSE ANNUALLY FOR <br />THE REPAIR OF LATERAL SEWER LINES ON RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY HAVING SIX OR LESS <br />DWELLING UNITS A FEE NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-EIGHT DOLLARS PER YEAR, TO THE <br />QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY AT THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION ON APRIL 6, <br />1999. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City is within the boundaries of a sewer district established pursuant to Article <br />Vl, Section 30[a] of 1he Missouri Constitution; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 249.422 RSMo provides that if approved by a majority of the voters voting <br />on the proposal, thE: City may levy and impose annually for the repair of lateral sewer service lines <br />on residential property having six or less dwelling units a fee not to exceed twenty-eight dollars per <br />year. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, <br />AS FOLLOWS: . . <br /> <br /> Section 1. An election is hereby called and ordered to be held in the City on Tuesday, <br />April 6, 1999, for toe purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the City the following <br />proposition: <br /> PROPOSITION S <br /> <br /> Shall a maxi-num charge of seven dollars be assessed quarterly on all residential property <br />having six or less dwelling units to provide funds to pay the cost of certain repairs of defective lateral <br />sewer service lines of those dwelling units? <br /> <br /> r"IyEs ['-[NO <br /> Section 2, Said election shall be held in compliance with all applicable laws, <br /> <br /> Section 3. <br />passage as proviced by law. <br /> <br />PASSED this <br /> <br />This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its <br /> <br /> ~ ,~ ~ '.~ / , <br /> <br />CERTIFIED TO BE CORRECT AS TO FORM <br /> <br /> <br />
