BILL No. oRDINANcE <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING AND CONVEYING TO THE <br />METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT AN EASEMENT IN LOT 47 <br />OF BLOCK 32 OF DARSTDALE NO. 2 SUBDIVISION IN UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI; CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY CLAUSE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District desires to extend the Skinker- <br />McCausland Tunnel, a sanitary sewer line, within property owned by the City of University City, <br />Missouri; and <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said property is located in Lot 47 of Block 32 of Darstdale No. 2 Subdivision; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has requested an easement in the <br />property to construct and maintain a temporary access shaft measuring approximately 22 feet in <br />diameter and a permanent access shaft measuring approximately 8 feet in diameter; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the easement will further the preservation of the health, safety, morals and <br />general welfare of the people of the City of University City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of University City is willing to grant, sell and convey the requested <br />easement to the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LrNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. <br />follows: <br /> <br />The City of University City, Missouri is the owner of property described as <br /> <br />Lot 47 of Block 32 of Darstdale No. 2, Plat Book 23, Page 16, in University City, St. Louis <br />County, Missouri. <br /> <br /> Section 2. In consideration for the sum of one dollar ($1.00) and other valuable <br />consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the City of University <br />City hereby grants, sells and conveys an easement in said property to the Metropolitan St. Louis <br />Sewer District, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Easement marked "Exhibit 1" and <br />made a part hereof. <br /> <br /> Section 3. The City Manager of the City of University City, Missouri is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into and execute said Easement on behalf of the City of University <br />City, Missouri. <br /> <br />Section 4. It is hereby declared that an emergency exists in that tunneling work under <br /> <br /> <br />
