I <br /> bodily injury to or death of any person or persons or for damage to property <br /> owned by any persons which may result from the ownership, keeping or r <br /> maintenance of such animal. Such insurance policy shall provide that no <br /> cancellation of the policy will be made unless ten days'written notice is first <br /> given to the director of public works of the city. <br /> i <br /> 6. Reporting Requirements. All owners, keepers or harborers of pit bull dogs <br /> must, within ten days of any of the following incidents, report said <br /> information in writing to the director of public works: <br /> i <br /> a. The removal from the city or death of a pit bull dog; <br /> b. The birth of offspring of a pit bull dog; <br /> c. The new address of a pit bull dog owner should the owner move from <br /> one address within the corporate city limits to another address within <br /> the corporate city limits; <br /> d. The bodily injury to or death of a person caused by a pit bull dog. <br /> 7. Sale or Transfer of Ownership. No person shall sell, barter or in any other 1 <br /> way dispose of a pit bull dog to any person within the city;provided that the <br /> owner of a pit bull dog may sell or otherwise dispose of a dog or the <br /> offspring of such dog to persons who do not reside within the city. t <br /> 8. Animals Born of Dogs Registered Hereunder. All offspring born of pit bull <br /> dogs within the city must be removed from the city within six weeks of their <br /> birth . [ <br /> i <br /> I <br /> 9. Failure to Comply. It is unlawful for the owner, keeper or harborer of a pit <br /> bull dog within the city to fail to comply with the limitations, requirements <br /> and conditions set forth in this section. Any dog found to be the subject of <br />` a violation of this section shall be subject to revocation of the license and/or <br /> registration of the animal and immediate seizure and impoundment. The I <br /> owner shall be required to take necessary action to dispose of such pit bull <br /> and the director of public works is further authorized to dispose of such pit <br /> bull if necessary action is not taken by the owner. <br /> 1 10. Violations and Penalties. Any person violating or permitting the violation of <br /> any provision of this section shall, upon conviction in municipal court, be <br /> fined a sum not less than four hundred dollars ($400.00) and not more than <br /> one thousand dollars ($1000.00). In addition to the fine imposed,the court <br /> may sentence the defendant to imprisonment in the city jail or other <br /> authorized penal institution for a period not to exceed one year. In addition, r <br /> the court shall order the registration of the subject pit bull dog revoked and <br /> the dog removed from the city. Should the defendant refuse to remove the <br /> dog from the city the municipal court judge shall find the defendant owner <br /> t <br /> in contempt and order the immediate confiscation and impoundment of the P <br /> i <br /> 1 <br />
