ORDIN CE <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING DEFERRED COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO CERTAIN <br />FIRE AND POLICE OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES FROM AND AFTER APRIL 1, <br />2000, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6084. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. From and after April 1, 2000, if the Fire Chief or Police Chief participates in <br />a deferred compensation plan under Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code, the City will pay <br />additional compensation to the Chief in an mount equal to that deferred by the Chief in any two- <br />week pay period, provided that the additional compensation shall be deferred by the employee into <br />such plan and shall not exceed one handred dollars ($100) for that two-week pay period. <br /> <br /> Section 2. From and after April 1, 2000, if an Assistant Fire Chief, Battalion Fire Chief, <br />Prevention and Safety Fire Chief, Chief Medical Officer, Police Captain or Police Lieutenant <br />participates in a deferred compensation plan under Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code, the <br />City will pay additional compensation to the employee hi an amount equal to that deferred by the <br />employee in any two-week pay period, provided that the additional compensation shall be deferred <br />by the employee into such plan and shall not exceed eighty dollars ($80) for that two-week pay <br />period. <br /> <br /> Section 3. <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 6084 and all ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby <br /> <br /> Section 4. <br />provided by law. <br /> <br />This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as <br /> <br /> PASSED this JO day of k- ,2000. <br /> <br />AT E : - ~ r .
