O IN CE NO. tattOO AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REIMBLFRSEMENT OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS FOR EXPENSES INCURRED BY THEM IN OPERATING THEIR OWN AUTOMOBILES IN TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS FOR THE CITY, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6210. BE IT ORDA1NED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. From and after August. 1, 2000, the officials in the position hereinafter set forth may be required to operate their own automobiles and if so required receive, upon prior authorization of the City Manager, the following amounts monthly for expenses paid by them in operating their automobiles in business for the City: Assistant Fire Chief Chief Prevention and Safety Officer Chief Medical Officer Director of Public Works Deputy Director of Public Works Operations Director of Planning Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry Forester Project Manager Deputy Director of Engineering Inspector I Inspector II Construction Inspector (may be classified as building/ plumbing/electric inspector) Senior Building Inspector/Plan Reviewer Zoning Administrator Director of Finance and Community Development Deputy City Manager Mayor 147 147 147 168 53 79 105 105 105 95 147 147 168 84 79 79 79 26 Section 2. From and after June 24, 1998, all City employees other than those enumerated in Section 1 above, not receiving a regular automobile allowance but operating their own automobiles on City business, upon prior authorization by their department head, shall be compensated at the rate of thirty two and one-half cents (32.5¢) per mile. Section 3. In the event the City fur0ishes any of the officials enumerated above automotive equipment to be used in their work, the amounts specified for operating their own private vehicles shall be terminated.
