Introduced by Mr. Schoomer <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8486 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6264 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING THE RIGHT-OF-WAY <br />OF AN UNIMPROVED PART OF PURCELL AVENUE IN ROTH GROVE <br />SUBDIVISION, BUT RESERVING ANY PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND <br />DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF <br />THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Purcell Avenue is a public street in Roth Grove Subdivision in University City, <br />in St. Louis County, Missouri; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, part of Purcell Avenue is unimproved; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing, to be held by the City Council in the City <br />Council Chambers at City Hall on July 24, 2000 at 7:30 p.m., to hear any comments concerning the <br />proposed vacation of said unimproved street right-of-way was duly published in the St. Louis <br />Countian, a newspaper of general circulation within said City, on July 15, 2000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said public heating was held at the time and place specified in said notice, and <br />all comments concerning the proposed vacation of said unimproved street right-of-way were duly <br />heard and considered by the City Council. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The right-of-way of an unimproved part of a public street known as Pureell <br />Avenue, in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri, and all of the City of University City's <br />right, title and interest therein is hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving, however, <br />all public utility easements, if any; said property is more specifically described as follows: <br /> <br />The parcel is a portion of the Purcell Ave right-of-way that is irregularly shaped and <br />approximately 24 feet wide and 320 feet long. It extends from 140 feet south of the south <br />right-of-way line of Bartmer Ave. approximately 320 feet southwardly to the north right-of- <br />way line of Olive Blvd., and is more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br />The parcel is located within Roth Grove Subdivision in University City, Missouri, and St. <br />Louis County, Missouri, which is recorded in plat book 18, page 17, of the St. Louis County <br />Recorder of Deeds. The parcel is bounded on the north by the south line of Lot 18. It is <br />bounded on the east by the west line of Lot 7 of Sutter Estate Subdivision, which is recorded <br />in plat book 428, page 127 of the Recorder of Deeds, City of St. Louis. <br /> <br />The parcel is bounded on the south by the north right-of-way line of Olive Boulevard, 90.5 <br />feet wide, and bounded on the west by the irregularly shaped east line of lot 1 of Block 7 of <br />Roth Grove Subdivision and is also bounded on the west by the east edge of a 20 foot wide <br /> <br /> <br />
