' BPli908i182' O INANCE O.. , f AN ORDINANCE VACATiNG AND SURRjZNDER1NG THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF SHAFTESBURY AVENUE NEAR RAISHER DRIVE 1N MONA TERRACE SUBDIVISION, BUT RESERVING ANY PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED iN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOLlIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. WHEREAS, Shaftesbury Avenue is a public street in Mona Terrace Subdivision in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing, to be held by the City Council in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on December 18, 2000 at 7:30 p.m., to hear any comments concerning the proposed vacation of said street fight-of-way, was duly published in the St. Louis Countian, a newspaper of general circulation within said City, on ~,Qnx~3~ c I , 2000; and WHEREAS, said public hearing was held at the time and place specified in said notice, and all comments concerning the vacation of said street right-of-way were duly heard and considered by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The right-of-way of a public street known as Shaftesbury Avenue, in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri, and all of the City of University City's right, title and interest therein is hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving, however, all public utility easements, if any; said property is more specifically described as follows: An irregularly shaped parcel of land located within the Shaftesbury Ave. right-of-way near Raisher Drive. The parcel of land is approximately 13.5 feet wide x 141.0 feet long. The parcel is immediately adjacent to the south boundary of Lot 1, Block 5 of Plat 2 Mona Terrace Subdivision, a subdivision in Lots 54 and 55 of Central Suburbs, in the City of University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri and recorded in Book 45, Page 13 of the records of the St. Louis County Recorder of Deeds. The parcel is more particularly described as follmvs: Beginning at the southeast comer of Lot 1 ofBIock 5 of Plat 2 Mona Terrace Subdivision, then proceed 13.5 feet southwardly along the prolongation of the east line of Lot 1 of Block 5 of said subdivision to a point, then proceed 106.09 feet westwardly along a line located 13.5 feet south of and parallel to the south line of Lot 1 of Block 5 of said subdivision to a point, then proceed 39.27 feet northwestwardly clockwise along an arc with a 25 foot radius to a point, then proceed northwardly 13.5 feet to a point oftangency on the west line of Lot 1, Block 5 of said subdivision, then proceed 39.27 feet southeast~vardly counterclockwise
