2.64.150 Reduction of disability insurance payments for military disability compensation. <br /> <br />Any applicant for employment in or reinstatement to the nonuniformed personnel following <br />a period of military service during a national emergency, who is receiving disability <br />compensation from the United States government as a result of illness contracted or injuries <br />sustained while in military service, may, at the option of the board of trustees, be required <br />to waive any disability insurance payments under Section 2.64.110, which may be <br />determined by medical examination to be due directly or indirectly to an injury or illness <br />resulting from or growing out of military service of such applicant, but only to the extent <br />of the amount of disability compensation received by the applicant from the United States <br />govermnent. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in fome from and after its passage as <br />provided by law. Any substantial proposed change in retirement benefits shall be effective forty-six <br />(46) days after the statement of cost required by Section 105.675 RSMo is filed with the city clerk <br />and the State of Missouri Joint Committee on Public Employee Retirement. <br /> <br />CERTIFIED TO BE CORRECT AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />
