AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAMES OF MILLBROOK BOULEVARD, <br />FOREST PARK EXPRESSWAY, AND FORSYTH BY-PASS TO FOREST PARK <br />PARKWAY, AND AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF THE UNIVERSITY <br />CITY MUNICIPAL CODE TO REFLECT THE NAME CHANGES AND ST. <br />LOUIS COUNTY TRAFFIC ORDINANCES APPLICABLE TO THAT PART OF <br />FOREST PARK PARKWAY WHICH IS WITHIN UNIVERSITY CITY; <br />CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 20,303, approved on December 21, 2000, the St. Louis <br />County Council changed the name of Millbrook Boulevard to Forest Park Parkway; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Forest Park Parkway is a county-arterial road established by St. Louis County, <br />Missouri pursuant to Section 137.558RSMo; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, part of Forest Park Parkway is within the City of University City, Missouri. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The names of Millbrook Boulevard, Forest Park Expressway, and Forsyth By- <br />Pass are hereby changed to Forest Park Parkway. Unless otherwise provided by this ordinance, all <br />ordinances, regulations and laws of the City of University City, Missouri which refer to Millbrook <br />Boulevard, Forest Park Expressway, or Forsyth By-Pass shall be deemed to refer to Forest Park <br />Parkway to the extent consistent with the intent of any such ordinance, regulation or law. <br /> <br />Section 2. The University City Municipal Code is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1.08.010 Corporate boundaries. Change Millbrook Boulevard to Forest Park <br />Parkway. <br /> <br />Section 10.20.060 Thirty -Five (35) mile per hour limit on certain major thoroughfares. <br />Delete: Forsyth By-Pass.... Eastbound from the west city limits to Pershing Avenue. <br /> <br />Change: <br /> <br />Millbrook Boulevard.... From east city limits to Pershing Avenue. <br /> to <br />Forest Park Parkway .... From the east city limits to the west city limits. <br /> <br />Section 10.20.070 Forty (40) mile per hour limit on certain major thoroughfares. <br />Repeal in its entirety. <br /> <br />Section 10.36.020 Major streets designated. <br />Change: Millbrook Boulevard to Forest Park Parkway. <br /> <br /> <br />
