BILL NO. O DIN CE NO. AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 8.28 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW CHAPTER TO BE KNOWN AS "CHAPTER 8.28 PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE," SO AS TO ADOPT THE iNTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, FIRST EDITION, 2000, WITH CERTAIN AMENDMENTS; CONTAIN A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 8.28 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to the Property Maintenance Code, is hereby repealed, and a new chapter, to be known as "Chapter 8.28 Property Maintenance Code," is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, thereby repealing the BOCA National Property Maintenance Code, Fifth Edition, 1996, and adopting the International Code Council International Property Maintenance Code, First Edition, 2000, with certain amendments, so that said new Chapter 8.28, as so amended, shall read as follows: Chapter 8.28 Property Maintenance Code Section 8.28.010 Adoption. The International Code Council International Property Maintenance Code, First Edition 2000, as published in cooperation by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., International Conference of Bnilding Officials, and Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc., three copies of which are on file in the office of the city clerk and available for public use, inspection and examination, and a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth herein, is hereby adopted as the Property Maintenance Code of the City of University City, Missouri, subject to the amendments, additions, insertions and deletions set out in Section 8.28.020 of this chapter.
