(CHAPTER 3 USE GROUP CLASSIFICATION) <br /> <br />310.2 Definitions: The following words and terms shall, for the purposes of this section and as used <br />elsewhere in this code, have the meanings shown herein. <br /> <br />Group home: A one-family dwelling in which shelter is provided in a supervised <br />environment for four or more persons all of whom are capable of prompt egress without <br />supervision, guidance or assistance, and who share complete living facilities that include <br />permanent provisions for living, sleeping, eating, cooking and sanitation. <br /> <br />Dwellings: <br /> <br />Boarding house: A building arranged or used for lodging for compensation, with or <br />without meals, and not occupied as a single-family unit. <br /> <br />Dormitory: A space in a building where group sleeping accommodations are <br />provided in one room, or in a series of closely associated rooms, for persons not <br />members of the same family group. <br /> <br />MuRiple-family dwelling: A building or portion thereof containing more than two <br />dwelling units and not meeting the requirements for a multiple single-family <br />dwelling. <br /> <br />Multiple single-family dwelling: A building orportion thereofcontaiuing more than <br />two dwelling units where each unit has an independent means of egress and is <br />separated fxom other dwelling units by a fire separation assembly or by a fire <br />partition in accordance with the provisions of Section 310.5 <br /> <br />One-family dwelling: A building containing one dwelling unit. <br /> <br />Two-family dwelling: A building containing two dwelling units <br /> <br />Dwelling unit: A single unit providing complete, independent living facilities for one or <br />more persons, including permanent provisions for living, sleeping, eating, cooking and <br />sanitation. <br /> <br />310.3 Use Group R-1 structures: This use group shall include all hotels, motels, boarding houses <br />and similar buildings arranged for shelter and sleeping accommodations for occupants who are <br />primarily transient in nature, occupying the facilities for a period of less than 30 days. <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br /> <br />
