months al~er the time of commencing work, the permit shall become invalid unless an application <br />to extend the time is received prior to the expiration of the period and the code official grants the <br />time extension. Such suspension shall not relieve the owner or person responsible firom the <br />obligation and responsibility to obtain a permit and enmplete the work necessary to correct defects <br />or restore the structure and the site to a ennditiun that complies with applicable codes and <br />ordinances. <br /> <br />108.10 Refusal to comply: The code official shall revoke a permit in the case of repeated refusals <br />to comply with the stop work orders. <br /> <br />(SECTION 112.0 FEES) <br /> <br />112.3.1 Fee schedule: A fee for each application, plan examination, permit, inspection, appeal, and <br />other service furnished by the department of building inspection or its euntractors shall be as <br />prescribed in local ordinances. <br /> <br />112.3.2 Surcharge for work started without a permit: In case any work for which a permit is <br />required by this ende is substantially started or proceeded without first obtaining said permit, the <br />total normal fees applicable shall be increased by an amount equal to the permit fee; except that the <br />surcharge amount shall not be less than $25.00 nor more than $500.00 for each permit. <br /> <br />(SECTION 113.0 INSPECTIONS) <br /> <br />113.6 Extra inspections: In addition to the inspections normally provided, the code official shall <br />require that additional inspections or reinspectiuns be conducted due to noncompliance with code <br />requirements or due to work which is not ready for inspection or not accessible for inspection at the <br />time of a scheduled inspection. Fees for such additional inspections shall be assessed when such <br />inspections are conducted. <br /> <br />(SECTION 114.0 ARCHITECTURAL & ENGINEERING SERVICES) <br /> <br />114.1 General: The provisions of this section shall define the construction controls required for <br />buildings involving professional architectural or engineering services, and delineate the <br />responsibilities of such professional services during construction. <br /> <br />114.1.1 Design and construction documents: All designs for new construction, alteration, <br />repair, expansion, addition or modification work involving the practice of professional <br />architecture or engineering, as defined by the statutory requirements of the professional <br />registration laws of the State of Missouri, shall be prepared by registered design <br />professionals, certified by the Missouri Board of Architects, Professional Engineers and <br />Land Surveyors. All construction documents required for a building permit application for <br />such work shall be prepared by or under the direct supervision of a registered design <br />professional, shall include the name, address and telephone number of the design <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br /> <br />
