BILL NO. INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMEMBER AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1.08 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO GENERAL PROVISIONS, BY REPEALING SECTION 1.08.020 THEREOF RELATING TO WARDS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 1.08.020 WARDS," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO CHANGE THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY'S THREE WARDS. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 1.08 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to general provisions, is hereby amended by repealing Section 1.08.020 thereof, relating to wards, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 1.08.020 Wards," thereby amending said section so as to change the boundaries of the City's three wards; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: Section 1.08.020. Wards. The City shall be divided into three wards with boundaries as follows: A. First Ward. The first ward shall consist of that portion of the City lying south and west of the following described line: beginning at a point at the eastern city limits of the city at the center line of Delmar Boulevard, thence westwardly along the center line of Delmar Boulevard to the center line of Center Drive, thence northwardly along the center line of Center Drive to the center line of Stanford Avenue, thence westwardly along the center line of Stanford Avenue to the center line of Gay Avenue, thence northwardly along the center line of Gay Avenue to the center line of Groby Road and the center line of 81st Street, thence eastwardly along the center line of Groby Road to the center line of Olive Boulevard, thence westwardly along the center line of Olive Boulevard to the western city limits. B. Second Ward. The second ward shall consist of that portion of the city lying north and east of the boundary of the first ward, as above described, and a line described as follows: beginning at a point at the eastern city limits at the center line of Olive Boulevard, thence westwardly and northwardly along the center line of Olive Boulevard to the center line of Groby Road. C. Third Ward. The third ward shall consist of that portion of the city lying north of the northem lines of the first and second wards, as above described.
