BILL NO. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING AND CONVEYING TO THE <br />METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT AN EASEMENT IN LOT 32 <br />AND PART OF LOTS 29, 30 AND 31 OF BLOCK 26 OF DARSTDALE NO. 2 <br />SUBDIVISION IN UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI; CONTAINING AN <br />EMERGENCY CLAUSE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District desires to construct and maintain the <br />Archer-Braddock-Coolidge-Grant Storm Channel within property owned by the City of University : <br />City, Missouri; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said property is located in Lot 32 and part of Lots 29, 30 and 31 of Block 26 <br />of Darstdale No. 2 Subdivision;; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has requested an easement in the <br />property for said purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the easement will further the preservation of the health, safety, morals and <br />general welfare of the people of the City of University City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of University City is willing to grant, sell and convey the requested <br />easement to the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City of University City, Missouri is the owner of property shown on the <br />attached Easement Plat marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof, and more fully described as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Lot 32 and part of Lots 29, 30, and 31 of Block 26 of Darstdale No. 2, Plat Book 23, Page <br />16, in University City, St. Louis County, Missouri. Locator number 16k-21-2028. <br /> <br /> Section 2. In consideration of the sum of one dollar ($1.00) and other valuable <br />consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the City of University <br />City hereby grants, sells and conveys an easement in said property to the Metropolitan St. Louis <br />Sewer District, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Easement marked Exhibit"B" and <br />made a part hereof. <br /> <br /> Section 3. The City Manager of the City of University City is hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into and execute said Easement on behalf of the City of University City. <br /> <br />Section 4. It is hereby declared that an emergency exists in that storm channel work <br /> <br /> <br />
