BILL NO. Sflq ORDINANCE NO. L03~O~ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS FOR EXPENSES INCURRED BY THEM IN OPERATING THEIR OWN AUTOMOBILES IN TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS FOR THE CITY, REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6315. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. From and after July 1, 2002, the officials in the position hereinafter set forth may be required to operate their own automobiles and if so required receive, upon prior authorization of the City Manager, the following amounts monthly for expenses paid by them in operating their automobiles in business for the City: Assistant City Manager Assistant Fire Chief Chief Medical Officer Chief Prevention and Safety Officer Construction Inspector (may be classified as building/ plumbing/electric inspector) Deputy Director of Engineering Director of Finance and Community Development Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director of Planning Director of Public Works Environmental Program Manager Forester Inspector I Inspector II Mayor Project Manager Senior Building Inspector/Plan Reviewer Zoning Administrator 95 162 87 162 185 105 87 116 87 185 53 116 162 162 29 116 92 87 Section 2. From and after July 1, 2002, all City employees other than those enumerated in Section 1 above, not receiving a regular automobile allowance but operating their own automobiles on City business, upon prior authorization by their department head, shall be compensated at the rate of thirty-six and one half cents (36.5¢) per mile.
