WHEREAS, Section H, p. 8 of the Plan permits the Council to modify the Plan, in the manner in which <br />it was first approved; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Authority has authorized the requested Amendment by resolution passed October 8, <br />2002, and the Plan Commission has consented thereto by resolution passed October 8, 2002; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this City Council has duly considered the reports, recommendations and certifications of <br />the LCRA and the Plan Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after all proper notice was given, the City Council held a public hearing concerning the <br />Amendment, and all those who were interested in being heard were given a reasonable opportunity to express <br />their views. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that this City Council take appropriate official action respecting the <br />approval of the Amendment. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br />CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION ONE. The Plan and Amendment, having been duly reviewed and considered, are hereby <br />approved and incorporated herein by reference, and the Clerk of this City Council is hereby directed to file a <br />copy of said Amendment with the Minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> SECTION TWO. The Plan and Amendment for the Area are feasible and conforms to the general plan <br />for the City. <br /> <br /> SECTION THREE. The financial aid provided and to be provided for financial assistance pertaining to <br />the Area is necessary to enable the redevelopment activities to be undertaken in accordance with the Plan and <br />Amendment for the Area, and the proposed financing plan for the Area is feasible. <br /> <br /> SECTION FOUR. The Plan and Amendment for the Area will afford maximum opportunity, consistent <br />with the sound needs of the City as a whole, for the redevelopment of the Area by private enterprise, and <br />private developments to be sought pursuant to the requirements of the Statute. <br /> <br /> SECTION FIVE.
