BILL NO. 30 ORDINANCE NO. (0 ~ 7...... AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, RELATING TO ZONING, BY AMENDING SECTION 34-38.4 THEREOF, RELATING TO CONDITIONAL USES IN THE "IC" DISTRICT BY ADDING SHORT-TERM LOAN ESTABLISHMENTS AND TITLE LENDER ESTABLISHMENTS AS CONDITIONAL USES-.IN SAID DISTRICT; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVDING A PENALTY. WHEREAS, Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, Missouri ("Zoning Code") divides the City of University City ("City") into several zoning districts, and regulates the character of buildings which may be erected in said districts, and the uses to which the buildings and premises located therein may be put; and WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission examined an amendment of Section 34-38.4 of the Zoning Code which adds short-term loan establishments and title lender establishments as conditional uses in the "IC" District; and WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission, in a meeting held at City Hall on October 30, 2002, at 7:30 p.m., approved said amendment and recommended to the City Council that it be · enacted into an ordinance; and WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing to be held by the City Council in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on November 18, 2002, at 7:30 p.m., was duly published in the St. Louis Countian, a newspaper of general circulation within said City, on November j., 2002; and WHEREAS, said public heating was held at the time and place specified in said notice, and all comments, suggestions or objections concerning said amendment of the Zoning Code were duly heard and considered by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 34 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, Missouri, relating to zoning, is hereby amended, by amending Section 34-38,4 thereof, relating to conditional uses in the "IC" District, so as to add thereto short-term loan establishments and title lender establishments as conditional uses in such District. Said uses shall be subject to all the terms and provisions of the Zoning Code applicable to conditional uses in the "IC" District.
