BILL NO. 5~~0~' ORDINANCE NO.._~__ AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING AND CONVEYING TO THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT AN EASEMENT IN LOT 17 OF BLOCK 12 OF DARSTDALE SUBDIVISION IN UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI. WHEREAS, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District desires to extend the Archer- Braddock-Coolidge storm channel project, within property owned by the City of University City, Missouri. WHEREAS, said property is located in Lot 17 of Block 12 of Darstdale Subdivision; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has requested an easement in the property to construct and maintain storm channel improvements; and WHEREAS, the easement will further the preservation of the health, safety, morals and general welfare of the people of the City of University City; and WHEREAS, the City of University City is willing to grant, sell and convey the requested easement to the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. follows: The City of University City, Missouri is the owner of property described as Lot 17 of Block 42 of Darstdale, Plat Book 21, Page 1, in University City, St. Louis County, Missouri. Section 2. In consideration for the sum of one dollar ($1.00) and other valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the City of University City, Missouri hereby grants, sells and conveys an easement in said property to the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Easement marked "Exhibit 1" and made a part hereof. Section 3. The City Manager of the City of University City, Missouri is hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute said Easement on behalf of the City of University City, Missouri. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided by law.
