BILL NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.66 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT FEES, <br />BY REPEALING SECTION 2.66.040 THEREOF, RELATING TO APPLICATION <br />FEES, SECTION 2.66.050 THEREOF, RELATING TO BUILDING PERMIT FEES, <br />SECTION 2.66.060 THEREOF, RELATING TO MECHANICAL PERMIT FEES, <br />SECTION 2.66.070 THEREOF, RELATING TO PLUMBING PERMIT FEES, <br />SECTION 2.66.080 THEREOF, RELATING TO ELECTRICAL PERMIT FEES, <br />SECTION 2.66.090 THEREOF, RELATING TO INSPECTION FEES, AND SECTION <br />2,66.100 THEREOF, RELATING TO OTHER FEES, AND ENACTING IN LIEU <br />THEREOF NEW SECTIONS WITH THE SAME SECTION NUMBERS AND TITLES, <br />THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTIONS SO AS TO INCREASE PLANNING AND <br />DEVELOPMENT FEES TO COVER THE COST OF PROVIDING THE SERVICES; <br />CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 2.66 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to planning <br />and development fees, is hereby amended by repealing Section 2.66.040 thereof, relating to <br />application fees, Section 2.66.050 thereof, relating to building permit fees, Section 2.66.060 <br />thereof, relating to mechanical permit fees, Section 2.66.070 thereof, relating to plumbing fees, <br />Section 2.66.080 thereof, relating to electrical permit fees, Section 2.66.090 thereof, relating to <br />inspection fees, and Section 2.66.100 thereof, relating to other fees, and enacting in lieu thereof <br />new sections with the same section numbers and titles, thereby amending said sections so as to <br />increase planning and development fees to cover the cost of providing the services; so that said <br />sections, as so amended, shall read as follows: <br /> <br />2.66.040 Application fees. <br /> <br /> The fees charged for each application shall be as scheduled below. Application fees are <br />intended to cover the cost of processing the application and where applicable include charges for <br />plan examination, site inspection, public heating notices, review of city records, heating <br />recorders and a pro rata share of overhead costs.
