Introduced by Councilmember <br /> <br />BILL NO. f~]g7 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 2 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO ADMINISTRATION <br />AND PERSONNEL, BY REPEALING SECTION 2.66.050(3) THEREOF <br />RELATING TO SIGNS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br />SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 2.66.050(3), SIGNS" BY <br />AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO ELIMINATE THE CASH BOND <br />REQUIREMENT; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A <br />PENALTY. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting held at City Hall at 7:30 p.m. on June 23, 2004, the University <br />City Plan Commission recommended an amendment of Section 2.66.050(3) of the University <br />City Municipal Code by eliminating the requirement for a cash bond; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Title 2 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, Missouri, <br />relating to Administration and Personnel is hereby amended by repealing Section 2.66.050(3), <br />relating to Sign Fees, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section <br />2.66.050(3), Signs" by amending said section so as to eliminate the requirement for a cash bond, <br />as so amended shall read as follows: <br /> <br />3. Signs: <br /> <br />Temporary promotional displays erected 11.40 <br /> <br />Wall signs erected, constructed, painted, altered or enlarged (based on <br />gross sign area) as follows: <br />Under 40 square feet 28.50 <br />40 to 80 square feet 57.00 <br />Over 80 square feet 114.00 <br /> <br />Freestanding signs, roof signs, or canopy signs erected, constructed, <br />painted, altered or enlarged (based on gross sign area) as follows: <br /> <br />Under 40 square feet 57.00 <br />40 to 80 square feet 114.00 <br /> <br /> <br />
