Exception: Screen doors shall not be required where other approved means such as air curtains or insect repellent fans are employed. 304.15 Doors: All exterior door assemblies shall be maintained in sound condition, good repair and weather tight. Locks at all entrances to dwelling units, rooming units and guest rooms shall tightly secure the door. Exterior doors used as a common means of egress for more than two dwelling units shall have a self-closing device in good working order, in order to protect against the entry ofrats and other vermin. 304.17 Security bars, grilles or screens: Security bars, protective grilles and security screens shall not be permitted on any window or doorway of anyone or two-family dwelling, excluding basement windows.
