<br />705.7 Records: A complete written record of all tests and inspections of fire protection <br />systems shall be maintained on the premises by the owner or occupant in charge of said <br />premIses. <br /> <br />(SECTION 706 ELEVATOR RECALL) <br /> <br />706.1 Required: All elevators having a travel distance of25 feet (7620 mm) or more <br />above or below the primary level of elevator access for emergency fire- fighting or rescue <br />personnel shall conform to the requirements of the Safety Rules for Elevators and <br />Escalators. <br /> <br />(SECTION 707 MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT CONTROL) <br /> <br />707.1 Smoke and heat detection: Approved smoke or heat detectors shall be installed in <br />return air ducts or ~lenums in each recirculating air system with a capacity of more than <br />2,000 cfm (0.94 m /sec) and serving more than one floor in buildings that exceed six (6) <br />stories in height in accordance with the mechanical code adopted by the City of <br />University City. Actuation ofthe detector shall stop the fanes) automatically and shall be <br />on the manual-reset type. Automatic fan shutdown is not required where the system is <br />part of an approved smoke control system. <br /> <br />(SECTION 708 SHAFT ENCLOSURES) <br /> <br />708.1 General: All floor openings connecting two or more stories shall be protected by <br />shaft enclosures as required by Section 708.2. <br /> <br />Exceptions: <br /> <br />1. In buildings of Use Groups F and S, stairs connecting not more than two <br />stories. <br />6.
