BILL NO. m'\ \ AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 15.04 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE BUILDING CODE, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW CHAPTER TO BE KNOWN AS "CHAPTER 15.04 BUILDING CODE," THEREBY AMENDING SAID CHAPTER SO AS TO ADOPT THE INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE, 2003 EDITION, WITH CERTAIN AMENDMENTS; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 15.04 ofthe University City Municipal Code, relating to the Building Code, is hereby repealed, and a new chapter, to be known as "Chapter 15.04 Building Code," is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, thereby repealing the BOCA National Building Code, 1999 Edition, and adopting the International Building Code, 2003 Edition, with certain amendments, so that said new Chapter 15.04, as so amended, shall read as follows: Chapter 15.04 Building Code Section 15.04.010 Adoption. The International Building Code, 2003 Edition, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., three copies of which were on me in the office of the city clerk for a period of ninety days prior to the adoption of this Ordinance and available for public use, inspection and examination, and a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth herein, is hereby adopted as the Building Code of the City of University City, Missouri, subject to the amendments, additions, insertions, deletions and changes set out in Section 15.04.020 of this chapter.
