<br />BILL NO. <1r\Ci\?J <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. ~50 3 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE FIRE <br />CAPTAINS AND FIREFIGHTERS AS ENUMERATED HEREIN FROM AND <br />AFTER JUNE 29, 2005, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6485. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. From and after June 29, 2005, initially payable July 15, 2005, Fire Captains, <br />Paramedic Fire Captains, Firefighters and Paramedic Firefighters, hereinafter designated, shall <br />receive as compensation for their services such amounts and benefits as may be fixed by the City <br />Manager in accordance with his Administrative Regulations and the Civil Service Rules, which are <br />hereby approved and adopted and incorporated herein by reference, and Pay Grade Schedule A, <br />included herein. <br /> <br />MONTHLY PAY STEP SCHEDULE <br /> <br /> <br />11A Firefighters 3615 3815 3956 4060 4174 4272 <br /> Paramedic 4029 4246 4393 4499 4615 4718 <br />11M Firefighters <br />16A Fire Captains 4411 4633 4836 4968 5108 5217 <br />16M Paramedic Fire 4700 4960 5136 5267 5410 5502 <br />Ca tains <br /> <br />Section 2. From and after July 1, 1985, all full-time non-executive, non-administrative <br />or non-professional employees shall be subject to the work week or work cycle and regulations <br />relating to overtime work except as noted. A listing of executive, administrative, and professionally <br />designated employees or positions shall be issued by the City Manager. <br /> <br />The work cycle of uniformed Fire personnel below the rank of Battalion Chief shall be 27 days or <br />216 hours per cycle. Hours worked in excess of these totals, when authorized in advance by the Fire <br />Chief, are customarily paid at the rate of time and one-half(1-1/2) of base pay. Compensatory time <br />may be granted by the Fire Chief with accumulation not to exceed 480 hours. Hours worked, <br />including vacation hours, between 204 and 216 hours, in anyone cycle shall be compensated for, in <br />addition to their regular rate, at one-half (lIz) of that employee's regular hourly rate. <br />
