<br />BILL NO. 8~~ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. !t,S ~c. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT <br />OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS FOR EXPENSES INCURRED <br />BY THEM IN OPERATING THEIR OWN AUTOMOBILES IN <br />TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS FOR THE CITY, REPEALING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6562; AND CONTAINING AN EMERGENCY <br />CLAUSE. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. From and after September 1,2005, the officials in the position hereinafter set <br />forth may be required to operate their own automobiles and if so required receive, upon prior <br />authorization of the City Manager, the following amounts monthly for expenses paid by them in <br />operating their automobiles in business for the City: <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager <br />Construction Inspector (may be classified as building/ <br />plumbing/electric inspector) <br />Deputy Director of Engineering <br />Director of Finance and Community Development <br />Director of Information Technology <br />Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry <br />Director of Planning <br />Director of Public Works <br />Public Works Manager <br />Forestry Supervisor <br />Inspector I <br />Inspector II <br />Mayor <br />Project Manager <br />Senior Building Inspector/Plan Reviewer <br />Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />129 <br /> <br />250 <br />142 <br />117 <br />24 <br />157 <br />117 <br />250 <br />72 <br />157 <br />219 <br />219 <br />39 <br />157 <br />125 <br />117 <br /> <br />Section 2. From and after September 1, 2005, all City employees other than those <br />enumerated in Section 1 above, not receiving a regular automobile allowance but operating their <br />own automobiles on City business, upon prior authorization by their department head, shall be <br />compensated at the rate of forty-eight and one half cents (48.5~) per mile. <br /> <br />Section 3. In the event the City furnishes any of the officials enumerated above <br />automotive equipment to be used in their work, the amounts specified for operating their own <br />private vehicles shall be terminated. <br /> <br />Section 4. The officials set forth in Section 1, who are required to operate their own <br />automobiles may, after prior authorization of the City Manager, receive compensation as <br /> <br />.:; <br /> <br />~ <br />
