RIGHT- OF- WAY LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH <br />LOT <br />LINE OF LOT 8 OF BLOCK 5 OF THE BLACKBERRY TERRACE <br />SUBDIVISION AND LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />RESERVING ANY PUBLIC EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS <br />ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF <br />DEEDS OF ST.LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the portion ofthe above is public street right-of-way is in the <br />Blackberry Terrace Subdivision in University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due notice of public hearing to be held by the City of University City <br />council Chambers at City Hall on October 10, 2005 at 6:30 p.m., to hear any comments <br />concerning the proposed vacation of the portion of above said street right of way, was <br />duly published in the St. Louis Countian, a newspaper of general circulation witb,in said <br />City, on <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said public hearing was held at the time and place specified in said <br />notices, and all comments concerning the vacation of the portion of above said street <br />right-of-way were duly heard and considered by the City Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />The portion ofBalson Ave (80 feet wide) right-of-way being vacated is an approximate 20 feet <br />wide x 105 feet long irregularly shaped parcel of land located adjacent to the South Lot Line of <br />Lot 8 of Block 5 of the Blackberry Terrace Addition, a subdivision located within the City of <br />University City, Missouri, and as recorded on Page 50 in plat Book 35 of the records of the St. <br />Louis County Recorder of Deeds. The boundaries of this parcel ofland are more particularly <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 8 of the said Blackberry Terrace Addition and going 85 <br />feet westwardly along the North Right-of-Way Line of Balson Ave(80 feet wide) to a point, then <br />going 31.42 feet clockwise along an arc having a radius of 20 feet to a point, then going <br />southwardly 20 feet along the prolongation of the East Right-of-Way Line of Wild Cherry Ave <br />(50 feet wide) to a point, then going 31.42 feet counterclockwise along an arc having a radius of <br />20 feet to a point, then going 85 feet eastwardly along a line that is parallel to the North Right-of <br />-Way Line of Balson A ve(80 feet wide) to a point, then going 20 feet northwardly along a line <br />that is perpendicular to the North Right-of-Way line ofBalson Ave(80 feet wide) to the point of <br />beginning. <br /> <br />All existing utility easements located within the above described boundaries shall remain in <br />effect. The land area lying within the above described boundaries is approximately 2100 square <br />feet or 0.0482 acre more or less. <br />
