INTRODUCED BY: Ms. Shelley Welsch DATE: 01/09/06 BILL NO.: 8846 ORDINANCE NO.: 6613 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.52 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIP AL CODE, RELATING TO THE COMMITTEE FOR ACCESS AND LOCAL ORIGINATION PROGRAMMING, BY REPEALING SECTION 2.52.010 THEREOF, RELATING TO ITS ESTABLISHMENT, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 2.52.020 ESTABLISHMENT", THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE COMMITTEE, AND AMENDING THE TITLE TO CHAPTER 2.52 TO REFLECT THE NEW NAME; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 2.52 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to the Committee for Access and Local Origination Programming, is hereby amended by repealing Section 2.52.010 thereof, relating to its establishment, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 2.52.010 Establishment", thereby amending said section so as to change the name of the Committee, and amending the title to Chapter 2.52 to reflect the new name; so that said section and title, as so amended, shall read as follows: CHAPTER 2.52 UNIVERSITY CITY COMMISSION FOR ACCESS AND LOCAL ORIGINATION PROGRAMMING Section 2.52.010 Establishment. The Committee for Access and Local Origination Programming, which was created by Ordinance No. 5284, shall hereinafter be known as the University City Commission for Access and Local Origination Programming, and shall continue to be referred to as CALOP. Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relief any person, firm or corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Chapter 2.52, Section 2.52.010, nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1.12, Section 1.12.010 of the University City Municipal Code.
