<br />INTRODUCED BY: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner <br /> <br />DATE: 01/09/06 <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8848 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />6614 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AFFIRMING EMPLOYMENT FOR CERTAIN CITY <br />EMPLOYEES. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. On or about July 14, 2006, the City Council anticipates transitioning to a new <br />City Manager. The City Council acknowledges that it welcomes directors to remain and continue their <br />excellent work. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City affirms that no involuntary terminations without cause of the following <br />employees will take place through December 31, 2006: Assistant City Manager, Director of Finance & <br />Community Development, Director of Human Resources, Director of Information Technology, Director <br />of Parks, Recreation & Forestry, Director of Planning & Development, Director of Public Relations, <br />Director of Public Works, Fire Chief, and Police Chief. <br /> <br />Section 3. An Involuntary Termination is defined as the cessation, constructive discharge or <br />forced resignation, or substantial revision of responsibilities and compensation of an Employee's <br />employment against Employee's wishes other than for cause.
