<br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING DEFERRED COMPENSA nON TO BE PAID TO
<br />CERTAIN EMPLOYEES FROM AND AFTER JUNE 28, 2006; REPEALING
<br />ORDINANCE NO. 6568.

<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI,
<br />AS FOLLOWS:
<br />
<br />Section 1. From and after June 28, 2006, employees holding the positions of Assistant/Deputy
<br />City Manager, Director of Finance and Community Development, Director of Public Works, Director of
<br />Planning and Development, Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, Director of Human Resources,
<br />Director of Information Technology, and Public Relations Administrator shall no longer be paid, by the
<br />City, additional deferred compensation, except as permitted in Section 2 and Section 3 below, by the
<br />employees' election.
<br />
<br />Section 2. From and after October 8, 2003, employees holding the positions of Assistant
<br />to/ Assistant/Deputy City Manager, Director of Finance and Community Development, Director of Public
<br />Works, Director of Planning and Development, Director of Parks, Recreation and Forestry, and Director
<br />of Human Resources, whose employment commenced on or after October 8, 2003, may elect to have
<br />deferred compensation in the amount of $38.46 per bi-weekly pay period, paid by the City, under Section
<br />457 of the Internal Revenue Code. This election shall be in lieu of participating in the Non-Uniformed
<br />Employees Retirement System and shall be made by the employee no later than the first day of his or her
<br />appointment to work by the City, and shall be irrevocable.
<br />
<br />Section 3. From and after June 29, 2005, employees holding the positions of Director of
<br />Information Technology and Director of Public Relations, whose employment commences on or after
<br />June 29, 2005, may elect to have deferred compensation in the amount of $76.92 per bi-weekly pay
<br />period, paid by the City, under Section 457 of the Internal Revenue Code. This election shall be in lieu of
<br />participating in the Non-Uniformed Employees Retirement System and shall be made by the employee no
<br />later than the first day of his or her appointment to work by the City, and shall be irrevocable.
