INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Sharpe, Jr. DATE: July 10, 2006 BILL NO.: 8892 ORDINANCE NO.: 6654 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY KNOWN AS TRENTON AVENUE; RESERVING ANY PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS; AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. WHEREAS, a public street right-of-way known as Trenton Avenue is in University City, St. Louis County, Missouri; and WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing, to be held by the City Council of the City of University City, Missouri, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall on the 10th day of July, 2006, at 7:08 p.m., to hear any comments concerning the proposed vacation of a portion of said public street right-of-way, was given; and WHEREAS, said hearing was held at the time and place specified in said notice, and all comments concerning the vacation of a portion of said public street right-of-way were duly heard and considered by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. A portion of a public 'street right-of-way known as Trenton Avenue, and all of the City of University City's right, title and interest therein are hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving, however, all public utility easements, if any. Said portion of the public street right-of-way known as Trenton Avenue is more specifically described as follows: Lot 12 of Spring Avenue Place, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 8, Page 109, of the St. Louis County Records, excepting therefrom the Southern Fifty (50) feet taken for extending Trenton Avenue. Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to have this Ordinance recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, Missouri. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided by law. PASSED this 24th day of July,
