<br />INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />DATE: June 4,2007 <br /> <br />Bill NO. <br /> <br />8937 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6692 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE <br />FIRE CAPTAINS AND FIREFIGHTERS AS ENUMERATED HEREIN FROM <br />AND AFTER JUNE 27, 2007, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6656. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCil OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. From and after June 27,2007, initially payable July 13, 2007, <br />Paramedic Fire Captains, Firefighters and Paramedic Firefighters, <br />hereinafter designated, shall receive as compensation for their services such <br />amounts and benefits as may be fixed by the City Manager in accordance <br />with the Administrative Regulations and the Civil Service Rules, which are <br />hereby approved and adopted and incorporated herein by reference, and the <br />Monthly Pay Step Schedule, included herein. <br />MONTHLY PAY STEP SCHEDULE <br /> <br /> <br />Firefi hters <br />Paramedic <br />Firefi hters <br />Paramedic <br />Fire <br />Ca tains <br /> <br />5103 <br /> <br />5386 <br /> <br />5576 <br /> <br />5718 <br /> <br />5873 <br /> <br />Section 2. From and after July 1, 1985, all full-time non-executive, non- <br />administrative or non-professional employees shall be subject to the work <br />week or work cycle and regulations relating to overtime work except as <br />noted. A listing of executive, administrative, and professionally designated <br />employees or positions shall be issued by the City Manager. <br /> <br />The work cycle of uniformed Fire personnel below the rank of Battalion Chief <br />shall be 27 days or 216 hours per cycle. Hours worked in excess of these <br />totals, when authorized in advance by the Fire Chief, are customarily paid at <br />the rate of time and one-half (1-1/2) of base plus incentive pay. <br />Compensatory time may be granted by the Fire Chief with accumulation not <br />to exceed 480 hours. Hours worked, including vacation hours, between 204 <br />and 216 hours, in anyone cycle shall be compensated for, in addition to their <br />regular rate, at one-half (%) of that employee's regular hourly rate. <br />
