<br />INTRODUCED BY: Ms. Brot <br /> <br />DATE: July 16, 2007 <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8945 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO.: 6700 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PART OF THE RIGHT- <br />OF-WAY OF WEST KINGSBURY AVENUE, BUT RESERVING ANY PUBLIC <br />UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE <br />RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS <br />COUNTY, MISSOURI. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, West Kingsbury Avenue is a public street in University City, in <br />St. Louis County, Missouri; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due notice of a public hearing on the vacation of part of said <br />public street, to be held by the City Council of the City of University City in the City <br />Council Chambers at City Hall on May 21,2007, at 6:30 p.m., was duly published <br />in the St. Louis Countian, a newspaper of general circulation within said City, on <br />May 4, 2007; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said public hearing was held at the time and place specified in <br />said notice, and all suggestions or objections concerning said vacation were duly <br />heard and considered by the City Council. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. A part of the right-of-way of West Kingsbury Avenue in <br />University City, in St. Louis County, Missouri, and all of University City's right, title <br />and interest therein is hereby vacated, surrendered and quitclaimed, reserving, <br />however, all public utility easements, if any; said property is more specifically <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />A TRACT OF LAND BEING A PART OF WEST KINGSBURY AVENUE, 40 <br />FEET WIDE, BEING IN TOWNSHIP 45 NORTH, RANGE 6 EAST, UNIVERSITY <br />CITY, ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY <br />DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF ADJUSTED LOT 20 OF <br />McKNIGHT PLACE ASSISTED LIVING BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENT PLAT AS <br />PER THE PLAT THEREOF RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 349 PAGE 380 OF THE <br />ST. LOUIS COUNTY RECORDS; SAID POINT ALSO BEING A POINT OF THE <br />WEST LINE OF ADJUSTED LOT 1 OF BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENT OF LOTS 1 <br />AND 3 OF GATESWORTH ADDITION AS PER THE PLAT THEREOF <br />RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 349 PAGE 154 OF SAID ST.
