<br />retirees and beneficiaries were receiving benefits as of <br />December 1992. <br /> <br />B. Effective January 1, 1995, all retirees who retired prior to June 1, <br />1994, and whose employment terminated after they became <br />eligible for retirement pursuant to this chapter, and their <br />beneficiaries other than children, shall receive a monthly benefits <br />increase of ten dollars ($10), provided such retirees and <br />beneficiaries were receiving benefits as of January 1, 1995. <br /> <br />C. Effective July 1, 1998, all retirees who retired prior to December 31, <br />1996, and whose employment terminated after they became <br />eligible for retirement pursuant to this chapter, and their <br />beneficiaries other than children, shall receive a monthly benefits <br />increase of twenty dollars ($20), provided such retirees and <br />beneficiaries were receiving benefits as of July 1, 1998. <br /> <br />D. Effective July 1, 2000, all retirees who retired prior to December 31, <br />1999, and whose employment terminated after they became <br />eligible for retirement pursuant to this chapter, and their <br />beneficiaries other than children, shall receive a monthly benefit <br />increase of the greater of five percent (5%) or forty dollars ($40), <br />provided such retirees and beneficiaries were receiving benefits as <br />of July 1, 2000. <br /> <br />E. Effective July 1, 2003, all retirees who retired prior to January 1, <br />2003, and whose employment terminated after they became <br />eligible for retirement pursuant to this chapter, and their <br />beneficiaries other than children, shall receive a monthly benefits <br />increase of twenty dollars ($20), provided such retirees and <br />beneficiaries were receiving benefits as of January 1, 2003. <br /> <br />F. Effective July 1, 2007, all retirees who retired prior to . January 1, <br />2007, and whose employment terminated after they became <br />eligible for retirement pursuant to this chapter, and their <br />beneficiariesotherthan children, shall receive a monthly benefits <br />increase of twenty dollars ($25), provided such retirees and <br />beneficiaries were receiving benefits as of January 1 , 2007. <br /> <br />Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after its passage as provided by law. <br />
