INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Wagner DATE: March 24, 2008 BILL NO. 8984 ORDINANCE NO. 6736 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.44 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS FOR SPECIFIC STREETS, BY REPEALING SECTION 10.44.020 THEREOF, RELATING TO PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS DURING DESIGNATED HOURS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 10.44.020 PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS DURING DESIGNATED HOURS," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO PROHIBIT PARKING BETWEEN THE HOURS OF SEVEN A.M. AND NINE A.M. AND BETWEEN THE HOURS OF FOUR P.M. AND SIX P.M. MONDAY THRU FRIDAY ON BOTH SIDES OF NORTH AND SOUTH ROAD FROM DELMAR AVE TO GANNON AVE; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 10.44 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to parking restrictions on specific streets, is hereby amended by repealing Section 10.44.020 thereof, relating to parking prohibited on certain streets during designated hours, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "section 10.44.020 parking prohibited on certain streets during designated hours," thereby amending said section so as to prohibit parking between the hours of seven a.m. and nine a.m. and between the hours of four p.m. and six p.m. Monday thru Friday on both sides of North and South Road from Delmar Ave to Gannon Ave; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: 10.44.020 Parking prohibited on certain streets during designated hours. The following streets or parts of streets are designated as places where parking is prohibited during the time set forth in this section within the meaning of the title: Alta Dena Court: On the west side thereof from University Drive to Pershing Avenue between the hours of nine a.m. and eleven a.m. On the east side thereof between the hours of one p.m. and three p.m. except Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Balson Avenue: On the north side thereof from Jackson Avenue to the first high school service drive west of Jackson Avenue between the hours of eight a.m. and four p.m. on every day of the week except Saturday, Sunday, and holidays and election days. On both sides thereof from Purdue Avenue to Hanley Road between the hours of three- thirty p.m. and five p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month.
