<br />INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />DATE: June 23, 2008 <br /> <br />Bill NO. 8993 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 6745 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE <br />FIRE CAPTAINS AND FIREFIGHTERS AS ENUMERATED HEREIN FROM <br />AND AFTER JUNE 25, 2008, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6692. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCil OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br />MISSOURI, AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. From and after June 25, 2008, initially payable July 11,2008, Paramedic Fire <br />Captains, Firefighters and Paramedic Firefighters, hereinafter designated, shall receive as <br />compensation for their services such amounts and benefits as may be fixed by the City Manager in <br />accordance with the Monthly Pay Step Schedule, included herein and shall additionally receive as <br />compensation for their services such benefits generally provided in the Administrative Regulations, <br />Civil Service Rules, and Human Resources Department policies now in effect, all of which are <br />hereby adopted, approved, and incorporated herein by this reference and the City Manager is further <br />authorized and directed to effect the inclusion of these benefits in the City's Administrative <br />Regulations in the manner provided by law. <br /> <br />MONTHLY PAY STEP SCHEDULE <br /> <br /> <br />11A Firefighters 3903 4120 4273 4385 4508 4614 <br /> Paramedic <br />11M Firefighters 4395 4631 4792 4907 5034 5147 <br />16M Paramedic Fire 5353 5650 5849 5998 6161 6267 <br />Ca tains <br /> <br />Section 2. From and after July 1, 1985, all full-time non-executive, non-administrative <br />or non-professional employees shall be subject to the work week or work cycle and regulations <br />relating to overtime work except as noted. A listing of executive, administrative, and professionally <br />designated employees or positions shall be issued by the City Manager. <br /> <br />The work cycle of uniformed Fire personnel below the rank of Battalion Chief shall be 27 days or <br />216 hours per cycle. Hours worked in excess ofthese totals, when authorized in advance by the Fire <br />Chief, are customarily paid at the rate of time and one-half (1-112) of base plus incentive pay. <br />Compensatory time may be granted by the Fire Chief with accumulation not to exceed 480 hours. <br />Hours worked, including vacation hours, between 204 and 216 hours, in anyone cycle shall be <br />compensated for, in addition to their regular rate, at one-half(Y2) of that employee's regular hourly <br />
