<br /> <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Price DATE: January 26, 2009 <br /> <br /> <br /> BILL NO. 9017 ORDINANCE NO. 6766 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.36 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE, RELATING TO REGULATIONS FOR SPECIFIC STREETS, BY REPEALING <br /> SECTION 10.36.090 THEREOF, RELATING TO STOP INTERSECTIONS - VEHICLES <br /> TO STOP AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br /> SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 10.36.090 STOP INTERSECTIONS - <br /> VEHICLES TO STOP AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS" THEREBY AMENDING SAID <br /> SECTION SO AS FOR TRAFFIC TO STOP ON CANTON AVENUE AT THE <br /> INTERSECTION WITH MENDELL DR; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND <br /> PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 10.36 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to Stop intersections - <br /> Vehicles to stop at certain intersections, is hereby amended by repealing Section 10.36.090 thereof, <br /> relating to Stop intersections -Vehicles to stop at certain intersections, and enacting in lieu thereof a <br /> new section to be known as "Section 10.36.090 Stop intersections -Vehicles to stop at certain <br /> intersections," thereby amending said section so as for traffic to stop on Canton Ave. at the <br /> intersection with Mendell Dr; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: <br /> <br /> 10.36.090 Stop intersections-Vehicles to stop at certain intersections. <br /> <br /> The following street intersections are designated as stop intersections for certain entrances thereto <br /> within the meaning of this title. Every operator of a vehicle or other conveyance proceeding on streets <br /> listed in the lefthand column below shall stop such vehicles or other conveyance before entering or <br /> crossing the street opposite in the righthand column below: <br /> =Ahern Avenue Groby Road <br /> Ahern Avenue Mt.
