<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> thereof, provided, however, final connection of any such system or line to a water line containing <br /> potable water or to a drainage line containing any form of human waste shall be done by a <br /> licensed person as stated herein. <br /> <br /> R105.6.90 Qualifications of contractors and workers. The building official shall not be <br /> required to issue a permit unless the contractor and workers are qualified to carry out the <br /> proposed work in accordance with the requirements of this code. Refusal or inability to comply <br /> with code requirements on other work shall be considered as evidence of lack of such <br /> qualifications. <br /> R105.90 Coordination with other jurisdictions. Where a building, structure, or premises is <br /> constructed partially outside the city limits, the building official shall be authorized to enter into <br /> agreements with the adjoining code jurisdictions to avoid duplication of permits, inspections and <br /> fees. <br /> <br /> R105.91 Homeowner permits. Permits may be issued to homeowners complying with the <br /> following requirements. <br /> <br /> R105.91.1 Electrical Homeowner permits. A permit may be issued to the owner or to a <br /> member of the owner's immediate family for the repair or modification (including the <br /> installation of additional fixtures, outlets and circuits) of an existing electrical system on the <br /> premises of a detached one-family dwelling, including accessory structures. <br /> • The dwelling shall be designed and used solely for living purposes. <br /> • The dwelling shall be legally occupied by the permittee. <br /> • The permittee shall personally perform all required work. <br /> <br /> R105.91.2 Plumbing Homeowner permits. A permit shall be issued to the owner or to a <br /> member of the owner's immediate family for the repair or modification (including the <br /> installation of additional fixtures) of an existing plumbing or drainage system on the premises of <br /> a detached one-family dwelling, including accessory structures. <br /> • The dwelling shall be designed and used solely for living purposes. <br /> • The dwelling shall be legally occupied by the permittee. <br /> • The permittee shall personally perform all required work. <br /> <br /> R105.91.3 Owner work knowledge. Prior to the issuance of a permit under this section, the <br /> building official shall determine that the request for a permit complies with the foregoing <br /> provisions and that the applicant has the necessary knowledge and ability to perform the <br /> proposed work in accordance with code requirements. <br /> <br /> R105.91.4 Work compliance. The permit may be revoked by the building official if it is <br /> determined that work under the permit is not being properly performed or that the application or <br /> applicant did not comply or no longer complies with this section. Upon such revocation, the <br /> property owner may be required by the code official to proceed immediately to procure a <br /> licensed electrician/plumber to correct or complete the work. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 3 <br />
