<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> University City, Missouri, subject to the amendments, additions, insertions, deletions and <br /> changes set out in Section 15.06.040 of this chapter. <br /> <br /> Section 15.06.040 Additions, insertions, deletions and amendments. <br /> <br /> The following numbered sections and subsections of the NFPA 70, National Electrical Code, <br /> 2005 Edition, as published by the National Fire Protection Association, Inc., are hereby amended <br /> by additions, insertions, deletions and changes so that such sections and subsections shall read as <br /> follows: <br /> (ARTICLE 210) <br /> (BRANCH CIRCUITS) <br /> <br /> 210.63 Heating, Air-Conditioning, and Refrigeration Equipment Outlet. A 125-volt, single- <br /> phase, 15- or 20- ampere-rated receptacle outlet shall be installed at an accessible location for the <br /> servicing of heating, air-conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. The receptacle shall be <br /> located on the same level and within 7.5 m (25 ft) of the heating, air-conditioning, and <br /> refrigeration equipment. The receptacle outlet shall not be connected to the load side of the <br /> equipment disconnecting means. <br /> Exceptions: <br /> 1. A receptacle outlet shall not be required at one- and two-family dwellings for the service <br /> of evaporative coolers. <br /> 2. Replacement of existing mechanical equipment with like equipment not requiring re- <br /> wiring that is either in the basement or at grade on the exterior shall not require the <br /> installation of the HVAC outlet. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or <br /> corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Chapter 15.06, nor bar the <br /> prosecution for any such violation. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this <br /> ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter 1. 12, <br /> Section 1. 12.010 of the University City Municipal Code. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
