The winter outdoor design temperature <br /> for the locality shall be as indicated in Appendix D of the Plumbing Code of University City. <br /> <br /> 602.4 Occupiable work spaces. Indoor occupiable work spaces shall be supplied with heat <br /> during the period from October 1 to May 15 to maintain a temperature of not less than 68 °F. (20 <br /> °C.) during the period the spaces are occupied. <br /> Exceptions: <br /> 1. Processing, storage and operation areas that require cooling or special temperature conditions. <br /> 2. Areas in which persons are primarily engaged in vigorous physical activities. <br /> (SECTION 604 ELECTRICAL FACILITIES) <br /> <br /> 604.2 Service. The size and usage of appliances and equipment shall serve as a basis for <br /> determining the need for additional facilities in accordance with the Electrical Code of <br /> University City. Dwelling units shall be served by a three-wire, 120/240 volt, single phase <br /> electrical service having a rating of not less than 60 amperes. <br /> <br /> 604.3.90 Prohibited installations. The following are prohibited and their presence shall be <br /> deemed a hazard: <br /> 1. Flush or semi-flush mounted floor receptacle outlets, unless it is an approved floor receptacle. <br /> 2. Extension cords for other than short term temporary use. <br /> 3. Lamp cord used as permanent wiring. <br /> 4. Conductor supported pendant switches or conductor supported pendant lighting fixtures. <br /> 5. Loose, hanging, frayed or bare wires. <br /> 6. Grounded-type receptacles which are improperly or inadequately grounded. <br /> 7. Ground-fault circuit-interrupter protection type receptacles and receptacles marked as having <br /> ground-fault circuit-interrupter protection which do not interrupt the circuit when the test button <br /> is actuated. <br /> <br /> (SECTION 606 ELEVATORS, ESCALATORS, AND DUMBWAITERS) <br /> <br /> 606.1.90 Inspection Submittals. Elevator inspection reports required by ASME A17.1 shall be <br /> submitted to the City by September 1St and March 1St <br /> <br /> (SECTION 690 EQUIPMENT IDENTIFICATION) <br /> <br /> 690.1 Equipment identification. In all buildings containing multiple dwelling units and/or <br /> occupancy groups, electrical and mechanical equipment not serving the entire building shall be <br /> appropriately labeled to indicate the unit the equipment serves. Equipment to be labeled shall <br /> include, but shall not be limited to, electric panels and similar equipment, disconnects, water <br /> heaters, furnaces and air conditioning condensors. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 25 <br />
