<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Glickert DATE: April 12, 2010 <br /> <br /> <br /> BILL NO. 9070 ORDINANCE NO. 6813 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AGROUND LEASE BY AND BETWEEN <br /> THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI AND THE WASHINGTON <br /> UNIVERSITY FOR REAL PROPERTY AT OR NEAR 6601 VERNON <br /> AVENUE, ON WHICH A FIRE STATION WILL BE CONSTRUCTED AND <br /> OPERATED. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br /> MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br /> Section 1. The Washington University, a corporation established by <br /> special act of the Missouri legislature approved February 22, 1853 and acts <br /> amendatory thereto, is the owner of real property at or near 6601 Vernon Avenue <br /> in St. Louis County, Missouri, more fully described as follows: <br /> A TRACT OF LAND BEING A PART OF BLOCKS 4 AND 5 OF DELMAR <br /> AVENUE ADDITION, PLAT BOOK 4, PAGE 69, AND PART OF LOT 39 IN <br /> BLOCK 3 OF NORTH PARKVIEW, PLAT BOOK 11, PAGE 4, IN U.S. SURVEY <br /> 378, TOWNSHIP 45 NORTH, RANGE 6 EAST, CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br /> ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Manager of the City of University City, Missouri is <br /> hereby authorized to enter into and execute on behalf of said City a ground lease <br /> with The Washington University for the real property located at or near 6601 <br /> Vernon Avenue to construct and operate a fire station, and all documents in <br /> connection therewith. <br /> <br /> Section 3. The attached "Ground Lease", which is adopted and <br /> incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved, and may be executed by <br /> said parties. <br /> Section 4.
