<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Crow DATE: April 12, 2010 <br /> <br /> <br /> BILL NO. 9071 ORDINANCE NO. 6814 <br /> <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.36 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO REGULATIONS FOR SPECIFIC STREETS, BY <br /> REPEALING SECTION 10.36.090 THEREOF, RELATING TO STOP INTERSECTIONS <br /> - VEHICLES TO STOP AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU <br /> THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 10.36.090 STOP <br /> INTERSECTIONS - VEHICLES TO STOP AT CERTAIN INTERSECTIONS" THEREBY <br /> AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS FOR TRAFFIC ON BRADDOCK AVENUE TO <br /> STOP AT LAUGHLIN AVENUE AND FOR TRAFFIC ON APPLETON DRIVE TO STOP <br /> AT LAUGHLIN AVENUE AND TRAFFIC ON TEASDALE AVENUE TO STOP AT GAY <br /> AVENUE AVE; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE City of University City, MISSOURI, AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Chapter 10.36 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to Stop intersections - <br /> Vehicles to stop at certain intersections, is hereby amended by repealing Section 10.36.090 <br /> thereof, relating to Stop intersections -Vehicles to stop at certain intersections, and enacting in <br /> lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 10.36.090 Stop intersections -Vehicles to stop <br /> at certain intersections," thereby amending said section so as for traffic on Braddock Avenue to <br /> stop at Laughlin Avenue and for traffic on Appleton Drive to stop at Laughlin Avenue and traffic <br /> on Teasdale Avenue to stop at Gay Avenue; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> 10.36.090 Stop intersections-Vehicles to stop at certain intersections. <br /> <br /> The following street intersections are designated as stop intersections for certain entrances thereto <br /> within the meaning of this title. Every operator of a vehicle or other conveyance proceeding on <br /> streets listed in the lefthand column below shall stop such vehicles or other conveyance before <br /> entering or crossing the street opposite in the righthand column below: <br /> _ _ <br /> ;Ahern Avenue ;Groby Road <br /> <br /> Ahern Avenue Mt.
