INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Sharpe, Jr. DATE: August 22, 2011 <br /> BILL NO.: 9130 ORDINANCE NO.: 6865 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.28 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO COMMISSIONS, AUTHORITIES, BOARDS <br /> AND COMMITTEES GENERALLY, BY REPEALING SECTION 2.28.050 <br /> THEREOF, RELATING TO THE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING COMMISSION, <br /> AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS <br /> "SECTION 2.28.050 TAX INCREMENT FINANCING COMMISSION", THEREBY <br /> s AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO UPDATE IT TO REFLECT CHANGES <br /> IN STATE LAW. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br /> MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> f <br /> Section 1. Chapter 2.28 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to commissions, <br /> authorities, boards and committees generally, is hereby amended by repealing Section 2.28.050 <br /> thereof, relating to the Tax Increment Financing Commission, and enacting in lieu thereof a new <br /> section to be known as "Section 2.28.050 Tax Increment Financing Commission" which shall <br /> read as follows: <br /> 2.28.050 - Tax Increment Financing Commission. <br /> t The tax increment financing (TIF) commission, subject to the approval of the city <br /> council, may exercise all powers enumerated in the Real Property Tax Increment Allocation <br /> Redevelopment Act, Sections 99.800 to 99.865 RSMo, except final approval of plans, projects <br /> and designation of redevelopment areas. The commission shall hold public hearings and provide <br /> notice pursuant to Sections 99.825 and 99.830 RSMo. The commission shall consist of twelve <br /> persons.
