INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Price DATE: September 26, 2011 BILL NO.: 9137 ORDINANCE NO.: 6873 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1.08 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO CORPORATE BOUNDARIES AND WARD BOUNDARIES, BY REPEALING SECTION 1.08.020 THEREOF, RELATING TO WARDS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF f 1 A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 1.08.020 WARDS", THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO CHANGE THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY'S THREE WARDS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Chapter 1.08 of the University City Municipal Code, relating to corporate boundaries and ward boundaries, is hereby amended by repealing Section 1.08.020 thereof, relating to wards, and enacting in lieu thereof a new section to be known as "Section 1.08.020 Wards", thereby amending said section so as to change the boundaries of the City's three wards; so that said section, as so amended, shall read as follows: 1.08.020—Wards. I The City shall be divided into three wards with the boundaries as follows: A. First Ward. The First Ward shall consist of that portion of the City lying south and west of the following described line: beginning at a point at the eastern limits of the City at the centerline of Delmar Boulevard, thence westwardly along the centerline of Delmar Boulevard to the centerline of Center Drive, thence northwardly along the centerline of Center Drive to the centerline of Stanford Avenue, thence westwardly along the centerline of Stanford Avenue to the centerline of Gay Avenue, thence northwardly along the centerline of Gay Avenue to the intersection of the centerline of Groby Road and the centerline of 81" Street, thence westwardly along the centerline of Groby Road for approximately 725 feet and just passing Swarthmore Lane to a point, thence northwestwardly along the eastern boundary of 2010 Census Block 5006 of Census Tract 215700 for approximately 2,140 feet to a point on the centerline of Coolidge Drive, thence westwardly to its intersection with centerline of Crixdale Avenue, thence westwardly along the centerline of Crixdale Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of North McKnight Road, thence southwardly along said centerline to its intersection with the centerline of Mayflower Court, thence westwardly along centerline of Mayflower Court and the south boundary of 2010 Census Block 5002 of Census Tract 215700 for approximately 1,260 feet to the western limits of the City. B. Second Ward.
