INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Price DATE: May 9, 2012 <br /> i <br /> BILL NO. 9156 ORDINANCE NO. 6889 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.36 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING CERTAIN ALL-STOP INTERSECTIONS (MILAN <br /> AVENUE AT 78TH STREET AND ERITH PLACE AT MILAN AVENUE) TO SECTION <br /> 10.36.090, STOP INTERSECTIONS - VEHICLES TO STOP AT CERTAIN <br /> INTERSECTIONS, AS PROVIDED HEREIN. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, <br /> MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Section 10.36.090, of the University City Municipal Code is hereby amended <br /> by adding the stop intersections of Milan Ave at 78th Street and Erith Place at Milan <br /> Avenue as All-Way Stop intersections to the schedule included in said section <br /> 10.36.090, as follows (addition emphasized): f <br /> 10.36.090 Stop intersections—Vehicles to stop at certain <br /> intersections. <br /> The following street intersections are designated as stop intersections for <br /> certain entrances thereto within the meaning of this title. Every operator of <br /> a vehicle or other conveyance proceeding on streets listed in the lefthand <br /> column below shall stop such vehicles or other conveyance before <br /> entering or crossing the street opposite in the righthand column below: <br /> Erith Place Milan Avenue <br /> Milan Avenue 78th Street <br /> Milan Avenue Erith Place <br /> -- _ --- - - _- . _ --. _ -- ----- ---- - - .... - - <br /> 78t" Street Milan Avenue <br /> -__-_ _ _ <br /> fi <br /> [Other than the additions noted in this Section 1, Section 10.36.090 is not affected in <br /> any way.] <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall not be construed so as to relieve any person, firm or <br /> corporation from any penalty heretofore incurred by the violation of Chapter 10.36, <br /> Section 10.36.090, nor bar the prosecution for any such violation. : <br /> 4 <br /> Section 3. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this <br /> ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty provided in Chapter <br /> 1.12, section 1.12.010 of the University City Municipal Code. <br /> Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage <br /> as provided by law. <br />
