INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Glickert DATE: October 22, 2012 BILL NO. 9167 ORDINANCE NO. 6900 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF CERTAIN PERMANENT RIGHT OF WAY EASEMENTS FROM THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF UNIVERSITY CITY REGARDING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7358 BALSON AVENUE, 7400 BALSON AVENUE, AND LOT 24 OF CENTRAL SUBURBS, LOCATED IN THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI. } WHEREAS, the City is constructing certain roadway improvements commonly known as the Jackson Avenue Pedestrian Signal Replacement Project("Project"); and WHEREAS, while drafting the Project plans,the City learned that the School District of University City ("School District") was the owner of certain real estate needed to construct the Project; WHEREAS, the School District has agreed to dedicate to the City the right of way easements necessary for the Project; and WHEREAS, the City Council must accept the easements to effect the transfer; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI,AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council accepts the dedication of a Permanent Right of Way Easement from the School District of University City regarding property located at 7358 Balson Avenue, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein. Section 2. The City Council accepts the dedication of a Permanent Right of Way Easement from the School District of University City regarding property located at 7400 Balson Avenue, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit B and incorporated herein. Section 3. The City Council accepts the dedication of a Permanent Right of Way Easement from the School District of University City regarding property located at Lot 24 of Central Suburbs, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit C and incorporated herein. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided by law. Page 1 of 2
